The Sunflower Jam
The Sunflower Jam was set up in 2006 by Jacky Paice, wife of Deep Purple's Ian Paice. Set up to help fund research and treatment for Pancreatic cancer, SFJ also funds complimentary medicine in a dedicated treatment room at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London.
The Sunflower Jam has organised a number of high profile fundraising events at The Royal Albert Hall and many other top London venues.
Most recently The Sunflower Jam produced 'Celebrating Jon Lord - A Celebration of the Life and Music of Jon Lord'. Artists that joined together to perform on the night included Deep Purple, Paul Weller, Rick Wakeman and Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden.
Both Danny and Malcolm are members of The Sunflower Jam committee, and give their time and expertise in the planning and execution of the Sunflower Jam live shows. Malcolm is also a trustee of the charity.
Danny produced the 'Celebrating Jon Lord' live DVD and accompanying documentary for SFJ (released 2014 on earMusic/Edel Records). The DVD went top 10 in several countries around the world.
